Seed Collecting

Throughout the late summer and fall, Dakota County collects a variety of seeds to help with natural resource restoration efforts. Seeds can be collected from any park in the Dakota County Parks system or from private land. 

Seedster​ events are scheduled and require registration. Other seed collection efforts are open-house style and ongoing for a period of time, so seeds can be collected at your leisure.
