Dakota Woods Dog Park is a 16-acre, fenced, wooded park. A great place to let your dog run and exercise off leash.
The park is centrally located in Dakota County, just east of Rosemount.

Dog park rules
Dakota County Parks established the following rules to help make your visit a safe and pleasant experience.
The dog park is governed by County Ordinance 107 – Park Use and patrolled by the Parks, Lakes and Trails unit of the Dakota County Sheriff's Office.
When using Dakota Woods Dog Park
- Purchase a pass prior to using the dog park. Failure to purchase a pass could result in citation and fine.
- Rabies tag number and rabies expiration date are required to purchase a pass.
- Extend common courtesy to all other users.
- Water is available May-October in the dog park. Please do not leave containers unattended in the park. Containers left in the park will be removed.
Official rules and conditions
- A pass is required for dog park use. The pass must be displayed in the vehicle or carried to be shown upon request. Failure to purchase a pass could result in a citation and fine.
- Dogs declared dangerous or potentially dangerous, dogs under 4 months of age, and dogs in heat are not allowed.
- Dogs must always be under the direct control and supervision of the owner. Owner must remain in the area with their dogs and have a leash available for quick use.
- Dogs must be responsive to voice commands to prevent aggressive behavior, fighting, biting and excessive barking.
- Food, balls, dog toys and use of firearms are not allowed.
- Water containers and personal items left on site are subject to disposal.
- Cruelty toward animals is not allowed, including punishing other people's dogs.
- Owner must clean up their pet's waste immediately and dispose of it in a designated waste container using a plastic bag.
- Dogs must be licensed and vaccinated. Dog must display a valid license. Owner must have a certificate of rabies vaccination for all pets using the area.
- No more than two dogs per owner are allowed within the dog park at any given time.
- Children under age 15 must be closely supervised by adults and should be instructed about proper behavior around dogs.
- Use of the Dakota Woods Dog Park off leash area is at your own risk. Owners are liable for damage or injury inflicted by their dogs.
- All users must abide by all other county park rules and Ordinance 107.
