Natural Systems Plans
A draft Natural Systems Plan for land protection and stewardship has been completed and is available for review and comments. The plan combines the county's 2017 Natural Resources Management System Plan with the 2020 Land Conservation Plan.
The plan was prepared to:
- Protect ecologically valuable lands amid development, growth and habitat fragmentation
- Ensure consistent, science-based management for long-term ecological health
- Provide a framework for funding, restoration priorities and partnerships
The plan builds from guidance provided in the 2050 Parks Vision Plan.
