Lake Byllesby Regional Park is nestled in the scenic Cannon River Valley on Lake Byllesby Reservoir, the largest lake in southern Dakota County. This beautiful park offers vast open space for a variety of year-round active sports or quiet recreation for company picnics, family reunions or other large and small group gatherings.

Use Harry Avenue for access to park
Park visitors and campers should access Lake Byllesby Regional Park using Harry Avenue. Gerlach Way (from 295th Street) is not a through road and does not have clearance for RVs and trailers.
Harry Avenue and Mill Towns State Trail construction
The trail connection to the Mill Towns State Trail and road to the Byllesby Dam Trailhead in Lake Byllesby Regional Park is under construction through early July 2026. Vehicle and trail access will remain open during the project. There may be short-term closures while equipment is in use. Cyclists will need to walk their wheels around the area. Please follow all signs and use caution when passing through the work area. For more information, visit the project webpage.
