Spring Lake Park Reserve

The Spring Lake Park Reserve Master Plan was adopted by the Dakota County Board of Commissioners in June 2021.

Future plans for the park include reintroducing bison, natural resource restoration and management, Mississippi River access, picnic and play opportunities, additional trails, and more.

Interpretive Messaging Plan

The Spring Lake Park Reserve Interpretive Messaging Plan is a planning process recommended by the Spring Lake Park Reserve Master Plan. This messaging plan focuses on honoring and acknowledging the Indigenous sites, spaces and histories located within Spring Lake Park Reserve.

The messaging plan builds upon the foundation provided by the master plan, including the interpretation framework and the engagement with Indigenous communities completed as part of the process.

This project funded in part by the State of Minnesota from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the Minnesota Historical Society.
