How to Apply for Child Support
Getting an application
You can get an application for child support services in the following ways:
Apply using the Minnesota Department of Human Services' Application for Child Support Services.
The link presents you with an application in English. Once there, you can select from Hmong, Somali, Russian, Vietnamese and Spanish. If you choose this option, you will be prompted to submit the application online as well. Minnesota Department of Human Services will forward the submitted application to the county for processing.
You can also get a printable application online.
Upon request, we will send you a paper application via U.S. Postal Service. To request an application by mail call 651-554-5611, or email childsupport@co.dakota.mn.us.
Paper applications are available at the Northern Service Center front lobby near Suite 100.

There is a drop box for completed applications outside the main entrance of the Northern Service Center, 1 Mendota Road W., West St. Paul.
