​​Safety is the county’s highest priority for road construction projects. Here are some things you can do to make trips safer:

• Stay alert, expect the unexpected— especially at night.
• Obey the posted speed limits.
• Leave plenty of room between you and the car in front of you in case they stop need to stop abruptly.
• Merge when directed to do so.
• Don't change lanes unless you need to.
• Don’t use cellphones while driving.
• Be patient—expect delays during peak travel times.
