Mississippi River Greenway – Hastings Bluff
County Project 98-056
Dakota County is reconstructing and resurfacing the Mississippi River Greenway from County Road 42 to U.S. Lock and Dam No. 2 in Hastings. Reconstruction will address slope, curve and pavement quality that do not meet Dakota County Greenway standards. It will result in a safer 10-foot-wide off-road trail for users.
Project overview
The project components include:
- Resurfacing pavement between County Road 42 and U.S. Lock and Dam No. 2.
- Lowering of trail to reduce slopes and increase safety.
- Widening of trail from 8 feet to 10 feet and expanding curve for increased visibility.
- Tree clearing for new trail alignment.
