Nicolai Avenue (County Road 91) Reconstruction

County Project 91-​​​​30

Dakota County is reconstructing Nicolai Avenue (County Road 91). The project is from 240th Street (Highway 61) to Miesville Trail in ​Miesville and Douglas Township. 

 The project components include:

• Reconstruction as a 2-lane highway
• Widened paved shoulders
• Replacement of culverts and drainage improvements
  

​Drivers should expect flaggers and delays throughout the project. Please allow extra time for travel, watch for construction signage and be cautious while driving through the construction area. 

Road closure​s and detours

County Road 91 is closed from Highway 61 to south of 260^th Street. View detour map.

Miesville Trail south of Nicolai Avenue is closed for reconstruction of the intersection to 850 feet south of the intersection.

Construction progress

Aug. 21–29

• Continuing storm sewer installation as well as grading for the drainage ditch south of 250^th Street 
• Placing gravel to shape the roadway between 250^th Street and Highway 61 prior to paving
• Beginning paving 250^th Street and Highway 61 is tentatively scheduled for the end of the week
