County Road 5 at Southcross Drive Intersection
County Project 5-58
Dakota County and the City of Burnsville are replacing the traffic signal and making intersection improvements at County Road 5 and Southcross Drive.
The final work will improve intersection operations and includes:
- Replacement of existing traffic signal systems
- Pedestrian and ADA improvements
- Drainage improvements
Traffic control
Please do not move or take the traffic control devices for your own safety and construction workers’ safety. Burnsville police will be patrolling the area.
The access for residences will remain open during construction. Expect delays.
Construction progress
Aug. 21–29
Pedestrian ramp improvements on the south corners. Please follow traffic signs because nearby lanes will be closed.
- Pouring concrete for the sidewalks and signal bases
- Preparing for pedestrian push button installation
