Northfield Boulevard (County Road 47) Resurfacing
County Project 47-050
Dakota County is resurfacing Northfield Boulevard (County Road 47) from Highway 50 to Highway 52 in Hampton and Hampton Township.
This segment is part of the 11.5 miles of roadways resurfaced this construction season. Pavement resurfacing involves removing and replacing a layer of asphalt. This is referred to as a “mill and overlay.” The result will be better looking, longer lasting, and smoother roadway.
Road closures and detours
Drivers should expect temporary lane closures, flaggers, and delays throughout the project. Please allow extra time for travel, watch for construction signage and be cautious while driving through the construction area.
Construction progress
Work is now complete and open to traffic. Thank you for your patience during these road improvements.
