Burial Assistance

Dakota County provides limited assistance with funeral costs for county residents. Payments go directly to a funeral home or cemetery. To be considered, you must submit the request within 60 days of the person's death.

​In most cases, all assets of the deceased must be used toward the burial costs before public funds can help. For more information about the county burial assistance program, call 651-554-5611.
