Event Requirements
Recycling is required at all event centers and community events such as festivals, sporting tournaments and concerts. Organics collection requirements apply to events that:
- Have at least 300 attendees, and
- Generate at least 1 ton (8 cubic yards) of trash per location, and
- Generate food scraps in back-of-house areas.
Recycling and organics requirements are outlined in County Ordinance 110 Solid Waste Management.
Who is responsible?
The event property owner and event sponsor are responsible for complying with recycling and organics collection requirements.
