Find a Polling Place
The Minnesota Secretary of State provides a Polling Place Finder to help you find out where to vote. Enter your address to find important voting information your precinct. Visit the Polling Place Finder to find your polling location.
Sample ballots are available and show the candidates and questions that will appear on your ballot. Sample ballots can be found on the Minnesota Secretary of State website.
Do I need to bring ID when I vote?
Whether you need to bring ID depends on whether you need to register or update your voter registration at the polling place. If your voter registration is current and active, you do not need to bring identification. This means you registered at least 21 days before Election Day and have not moved or changed your name since then.
You will need to show proof of residence if you need to register or update your registration at the polling place or if you have not voted in four years or more.
Language Minority Districts
Some precincts in Dakota County are designated as Language Minority Districts (LMDs) according to Minnesota Statute 204B.295. Translated voting instructions and sample ballots are available during any regular or state special election in the following precincts:
