Asthma can be a serious disease that makes breathing difficult. But, with proper care, your child can live a healthy and active life.

Reduce asthm​a triggers in your home

Dakota County has a free asthma program that includes up to four home visits from a public health nurse. Any child aged birth to 17, who is diagnosed with asthma and is living in Dakota County, is eligible.

The nurse can help you:

  • Learn about asthma triggers in your home
  • Explore ways to reduce your child's symptoms
  • Learn about helpful community resources
