Workforce Development Area #14 Regional and Local Plan

Each Workforce Development Area in Minnesota is required to submit a regional and local plan to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) for approval. This is to receive funding under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act for Youth, Adults and Dislocated Workers and the State Dislocated Worker program. 

WIOA State, Regional and Local Plans outline what a state, territory, region, or local workforce area is doing to help Americans. This includes getting youth and those with significant barriers employment in high-quality jobs and careers and help employers hire and retain skilled workers. The plans incorporate strategic planning elements to outline economic conditions, workforce characteristics and workforce development activities.

The county must allow a period of not less than 30 days prior to the submission of the agreement to solicit comments from the public on the contents.
