Axtman and Chester join workforce development board

The Dakota County Board of Commissioners has appointed Hannah Axtman and Kyle Chester to the Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board. They will represent the private sector.

Axtman is director of operations at TA Dedicated in Eagan, where she leads the warehousing and transportation operations. She has a strong focus on customer success and operational performance. She is known for driving operational excellence, leading teams through change and serving as a trusted partner to customers and stakeholders. She chairs the Minnesota Trucking Association’s Women in Trucking Leadership Committee. She is also a Minnesota State University, Mankato Women in Leadership Program advisor and serves as a People, Culture & Belonging core theme leader at TA Dedicated.

Chester serves as a business account executive with Dakota Electric Association, where he works with commercial, industrial and municipal organizations in Dakota County. With more than 15 years of leadership experience across the energy, technology and utility sectors, he has built a career focused on strategic partnerships, innovation and organizational growth. Chester supports energy career awareness efforts in local schools and volunteers with youth sports and other community organizations. He holds graduate degrees from the University of Minnesota and has been recognized nationally for his leadership in the energy industry.

The Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board oversees employment and training programs in Dakota and Scott counties. It is a state leader in developing innovative programs administered through CareerForce locations in Burnsville, Shakopee and West St. Paul.
