Verdict reached in 2025 South St. Paul murder case — Ranzy, Terrell

​​Following a 12-day court trial, the Honorable Richelle M. Wahi issued a verdict in the case against Terrell Anthony Ranzy in Dakota County District Court, announced Dakota County Attorney Kathy Keena. 

Ranzy was acquitted of count one, second-degree unintentional murder while committing a felony and count two, second-degree manslaughter. He was found guilty of count three, possession of a firearm by an ineligible person — a result of a 2025 Ramsey County conviction for threats of violence.

Ranzy will remain in custody at the Dakota County Jail until the sentencing hearing on July 15 at 1:30 p.m. in Hastings.

Keith Woodson Cox Jr., also involved in this matter, is scheduled for an omnibus hearing on May 27.
