Personnel Board of Appeals
The Personnel Board of Appeals provides the county board with an impartial and knowledgeable analysis of facts concerning appeals filed by employees or job applicants.

4 members; all members are at-large
Members must have 10 or more years of experience in a managerial position with an organization comparable to Dakota County, or five or more years of professional level experience in the area of labor relations or civil law. Individuals who may not serve on the board are: those who have a contractual, commercial or professional relationship with Dakota County; those who are employed by the county; or those who hold a county office or are a candidate for any county office.

Limited to two consecutive terms.
$50 plus expense reimbursement for attendance at meetings
Full-day or half-day hearings as needed
