General Government and Policy Committee Meeting

​The General Government & Policy (GGP) Committee of the Whole meets monthly on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. or following the Dakota County Board of Commissioners meeting.

The meetings are held at the Administration Center​,​ Conference Room 3A. ​To make any comments, please email countyadmin@co.dakota.mn.us.

The committee reviews matters from the Central Operations​ Division​, Public Services and Revenue Division, Elected Offices,​ and County Administration. All seven county commissioners are members of this committee.

Some of the administrative functions and public services addressed by this committee are: 

• Budget, finance, and taxes
• County performance and outcomes
• Elections
• Employee relations
• General operations (capital planning, facilities, risk management)
• Information technology
• Library
• Policies and procedures
• Service and license centers​
