Submit Well Information

​​​Monitoring and product recovery wells require annual registration. Dakota County will send a letter to the well owner requesting completion of the Annual Registered Use Well Permit 14 months after the well is completed.

Static water levels

Submit water levels with at least one new reading since the previous data submittal to our office. Accepted formats:

• EQuIS WaterLevel format:​ Templates and a link to an EQuIS EDD option are provided.
  

Water chemistry

Submit all water quality data collected since the last annual submittal in an Environmental Quality Information System (EQuIS) format.

Formats:

• EQEDD_v2 is a generic EQuIS format and is Dakota County's preferred format. To learn more information, please visit the Earthsoft EQEDD_v2 webpage.
• Lab_MN and EDGE_MN are accepted but are less preferred. This is a custom format developed for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Many labs have pre-existing access to this format. We will accept it, but there are more processing steps necessary to load it into Dakota County's database. The database is independent from the MPCA's.
• Any standard EQuIS EDD (not custom). See Earthsof​t's website for more details.
