Waste Hauler Licensing

Solid waste haulers must have a license from Dakota County to operate. Licenses are good for two years — from July 1 to June 30 of the second year.

Get or renew a license

To obtain a license application, call Environmental Resources at 952-891-7557. License renewal applications will be automatically sent to you if you had a license in the previous year.

Submit to the county a completed license application along with proof of proper insurance and a $100 per truck license fee.
