Amendments to County Ordinance 107

The Dakota County Board will hold a public hearing regarding amendments to Dakota County Park Ordinance 107.

The public hearing will be held 9 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, in Conference Room 3A, Dakota County Administration Center, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings to receive comments on and adopt the proposed amendments to County Ordinance 107.

Ordinance 107 provides rules and regulations on the public use of county park lands. This includes rules for recreational activities, public safety, fair use, and the preservation of natural and cultural resources. The proposed amendments provide several language and activity description updates and expanded regulations and improved enforcement strategies for electric-powered and motorized devices.

Written comments will be accepted via email until Aug. 3 at niki.geisler@co.dakota.mn.us, and will be presented as part of the public testimony.
