Dakota County to host Budget and Property Tax Open House Aug. 6

Dakota County will host a Budget and Property Tax Open House Thursday, Aug. 6 from 5–6:30 p.m. at the Dakota County Community Development Agency, 1228 Town Centre Drive, Eagan.

This open house is an opportunity for residents to:

• Better understand the county budget and property tax levy and the services the county provides.
• Learn how rising costs, new state and federal cost shifts and other factors are creating new challenges for 2027 budget planning.
• Ask questions about their property taxes.

​Two more open houses are planned this year:

• Thursday, Sept. 10 from 5–6:30 p.m. at the Dakota County Western Service Center, 14955 Galaxie Ave., Apple Valley.
• Tuesday, Dec. 1, from 5–6 p.m. at the Dakota County Administration Center, 1590 Hwy. 55, Hastings.
